Another relatively common roadside problem that can be patched up on the road is a leaky radiator. Like most roadside repairs, this will only be a temporary fix that will help you continue on the road and get to a repair shop as soon as possible. The only items that you will need are water and some eggs.

  1. Stop and let your car cool off. As when you do any work on a radiator, it is essential that the radiator has had time to cool down for safety.
  2. Refill the water.
  3. Start the vehicle and let it idle.
  4. Crack open a couple of eggs and pour into the radiator.
  5. The leak should be temporarily fixed. Make your way to a repair shop as soon as possible.
