The Federal Way location(s) (Northwest Towing, Inc.) auction is/are published on Friday, before each Auction (Tuesday) is held.
The Fife auction location(s) (Fife Towing, Fife Recovery Service, and Northwest Towing) is/are published the Monday before each auction (Thursday) is held.
An auction for both locations IS NOT a weekly event. Please check online (www.fifetowing.com) or in the Tacoma News Tribune classifieds (Legal Notice section) for the next announced auction listing.
Public viewing of the vehicles will commence on the day of the auction from 9 a.m. – until 10 a.m.
All vehicles purchased are sold on as “as is basis”. Any auction at our Fife and Federal Way locations, makes no warranties expressed or implied.
Abandoned Vehicle Auction Rules:
- Remain in the corded off viewing area of the auction area.
- NO WANDERING outside the viewing area to look at other vehicles in the storage yard.
- Vehicles that are going up for auction will have an “X” on their windshield.
- DO NOT START or hot-wire any vehicle. The Auctioneer and Vehicle Lot Attendant will be happy to advise or assist you.
- The Abandoned Vehicle Auction will promptly begin at 10:00 am.
- This is a cash-only auction only.
- This is strictly a CASH and CARRY auction – unless you have made special arrangements with our front office.
- No personal or business checks will be accepted unless pre-approved by the management.
- 9.3% sales tax for Pierce County and 9.5% sales tax for King County, will be added onto the subtotal (final bid) of the vehicle. An ATM machine is available at the Flying J Truck Stop.
ATTENTION Auction Visitors and Participants:
- DO NOT PARK in front of the office parking area.
- DO NOT PARK inside the fenced auction area.
- DO NOT PARK in front of the gated entrance.
- DO NOT BRING small children to the auction.
- NO Children under the age of 16 are allowed onto the property.
Sorry, but there are NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS or TELEPHONES available at our auctions. Should you need to utilize either one of these two items, there is a Jack-in-the-Box and the Flying J Truck stop within quick walking/driving distance. You may inquire to the lot attendant as to other locations in the immediate area.
- Please sign in at the desk, your bidding number will be the number line upon which you sign in.
- Auction Vehicle Sheets can be obtained at the sign-in desk.
- The Auction Vehicle Sheet will advise you if keys are available.
- Usually, there is a locksmith available to make keys for you.
- Arrangements for such a service should be made between you and the locksmith.
- Payment is expected immediately after each vehicle is auctioned.
- Any delay will cause a forfeit to the 2nd highest bidder.
- Your driver’s license MUST be presented to the cashier at time of payment.
- Keys available for vehicle will be an additional cost.
- Auction “Tow Out” Towing charges may be obtained at the front desk in the main office.
- All vehicles must be removed from the auction lot – no later than 5pm or there will be a $40 storage charge for each additional day.
- Once a vehicle is purchased and the auction process has been completed, your vehicle must be removed from the lot.
- Only licensed and insured tow trucks will be allowed on the auction premises. Car dollies or car trailers on the premises are not permitted due to liability concerns.
- NO MECHANICAL WORK may be done on the auction premises.
- If you need to do work on your purchased vehicle, it should be removed from the auction lot and parked alongside the street next to the sidewalk. Here you may work on your vehicle, “at your own risk”.
- If there is garbage from your purchased vehicle – please dispose of it at your residence or at your nearest disposal facility.
- Do not remove garbage from your purchased vehicle onto the street. Should a report be issued to Fife Police Department, the purchaser’s information will be released; whereas a citation for littering might be applicable and possibly issued to the purchaser.
